This was fall at its peak I suppose. As you can see, fall couldn't quite make up its mind this year. Didn't happen until November really. But I'm not complaining, this was pretty.
This would be my contribution to my favorite blog 3191. Thank you for the inspiration, ladies! We found the perfect spot to hang the quilt Mom made for us. Represents Vermont in all it's natural beauty. I'm sure it will be featured here again. Meantime I couldn't resist the yellow match.
The upstairs arranging came together in time for the big day! Thanks for the wee pumpkin, Mom! Can you spy Josh's pumpkin? Yeah, this is a late post but I still have the fall decor up so no matter right?
I've wanted to paint a gray moon face on a pumpkin for years. Got in a hurry and used a black sharpie instead but I still think it turned out just fine. It makes me grin and so definately serves its purpose. Thank you to my fam for the company and the fall looksey days and the October pumpkin picking at the farm store.
The sheep visited closer to the cottage one day. I lived near a sheep farm as a kid and claimed a lamb as my pet(?). Good to watch the peaceful animals again. Now if I could get the sheep dog to stop barking constantly.
A flower for anyone that wants to add my blog as a favorite. It's getting chilly round here, so I crave the warm rays of the sun. The inside of this cosmos reminds me of a stick drawing of the sun.
These wildflowers make me beam and clap and exclaim. Especially if the cosmos are mixed in with other varieties of wildflowers standing all harmoniously and carefree. They remind me to live happy. What's your reminder?
As these caught the rays of the setting sun, they marked the summer's close.
Howdy neighbor?! Like my friends next door? Our morning wake up call, with a "Neigh, neigh here," and a "Baa, baa there," here a "Cluck, there a cluck," everywhere a "Cluck, cluck! I'm not complaining, although we do hear a bird that sounds an awful lot like a monkey, hmm...
Silly me, jepers it took so long to spin this yarn o nothing. Spied this creature and many more like it on the walk to the dam yesterday. Up and down and all around, over hill, kinda through dale we went. Well at least this pic will get us in the old Hallowed eve spirit of the season. More soon, perhaps.
